Loscam: Pallet Pooling & Track-and-Trace Platform

The Client & Their Context

Loscam is a leading pallet pooling provider operating across Australia, New Zealand and 12 Asian markets. Pooling means the same physical assets circulate continuously between manufacturers, distributors and retailers rather than being bought and discarded, which only works if you always know where every asset is, who currently holds it, and what that should cost them.

The Problem

Reconciling pallet custody was a manual exercise. Telemetry arrived over constrained low-power networks with gaps and duplicates, warehouse records were keyed locally, and billing had to reconcile against actual custody in multiple currencies and jurisdictions — so the matching happened by hand before an invoice could go out. That is slow enough that the answer is stale by the time it exists, and a disputed invoice lands well after the movement it describes.

What We Built

• Backend services for real-time pallet tracking over IoT devices on the 0G low-power network, tolerant of the gaps and duplicate readings a low-power network actually produces.
• Automated custody reconciliation, replacing the manual matching exercise that gated invoicing.
• Customer billing services reconciling asset custody against charges across multiple markets and currencies.
• Cross-border pooling logistics, moving assets between countries with different operating rules.
• Ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the production platform serving major manufacturers and retailers.
